Hardest Day As A Mom....So Far.

Well today is the first day we brought you to daycare. I hated it!! I dreaded it all weekend and couldn't stop thinking about it. I just couldn't stand the thought of you going to somebody elses house that you weren't familiar with and a bunch of kids running around. We've been so lucky to have Auntie Mae Mae and Grandpa come to our house and watch you. I knew there would come the day when they weren't able to anymore, I just didn't think it would be so hard.

We all got up early and you watched cartoons and woke up a bit. Then I got you dressed, fixed your hair and out the door we went. It's only about a minute drive from our house but felt like a never ending trip. You, Me and Dad all went inside and you were immediately excited about the little dog, Rambo, they have. You wanted down and started playing with Rambo and all the toys they have there. It seemed like you didn't even care that we were leaving you there. We gave you a kiss and told you we are going to work and we will be back later. You just waved and out the door we went. I immediately stared crying as soon as I got out the door. It was WAY harder on me and your Dad than it was on you. You are such a little trooper. It's like you knew that this was your new routine and we would be back to get you.

I'm excited for you to be around other kids and hopefully you'll learn at thing or two about sharing. I'm also excited because you and Eythyn will be at the same daycare. Hopefully you'll be nice to him and stick up for him, even though he is a lot bigger and will probably be the one sticking up for you. :-)

We love you Baby Girl, forever and ever...

"Happy Birthday Daddy!"

A couple of days ago was Daddy's Birthday. He turned 23 on the 23rd (his "magic" birthday). You and I made his birthday cake. Rainbow chip/rainbow chip...of course. :-) Then we had a bbq at Mammie's house. Me, Daddy, Auntie, Eythyn, Uncle B, Mammie & Grandpa were all there to celebrate. Then we sang Happy Birthday and you helped Daddy blow out his candles. He said it was the best birthday ever because you helped make his cake (so sweet).

Painted Toes

Well you are officially a girly-girl! You got your toe nails painted. Amazingly you sat still and let me do it. Afterwards you wouldn't stop watching your feet when you walked. Everytime you would see somebody new you would hold up your little foot and say "pretty". It was just so cute, I look foward to many more Mommy - Daughter pedicures.

Nautika's gonna be a Big Sister!

Well me and your Dad found out we are going to have a baby a few months ago. We were waiting to tell everybody until I was 12 weeks, but since I'm 11 weeks and 4 days today I figured I've waited long enough. :-) I'm so excited to see you as a big sister. Also a bit nervous because you are such a little "rip snort". It's your way or the highway. I know it will take you a little while to get used to the change but I know you will do great. You are such a sweet, nurturing little girl that has just a little problem with sharing (but we can get past that). With this pregnancy we will find out what we are having (with you we didn't). Mostly because Mommy can't wait that long again, but also to prepare you and ourselves a little better. I'm kind of hoping for another girl so you can have a sister and be best friends (knock on wood), but I'd be estatic with a baby boy too. We'll just have to wait....only 8 more weeks to go (I'm not counting or anything). ;-) I just know you will be the best big sister. One who is protective, bossy, loving and helpful. I can't wait to see your baby sibling in your arms. I Love You As Big As The Ocean!!

Brassfield Family Reunion 2008

Last weekend was the Brassfiled Reunion. It was a blast!!! You had so much fun camping and playing outside all day. You went on you first rafting trip and absolutely loved it. You played with all your cousins and went swimming and "hammed it up" with ALL the people there. I think every single person there commented how cute you are. We got a picture with all the Kisers; all Gram's kids and all her grandkids. I'm so happy we went and you got to meet all the family, I just think it is so important and will never forget that weekend. I can't wait for the next one. Brassfield Family Reunion 2010 here we come!!!...
