For Mel...

Here's the start of the picture.

I lightened it up a bit but didn't like how dark his shirt was so I created a blank 4x6 file and then can change it whatever color I like. This one I picked white. So you drag the white pic on top of the pic and resize to fit over the whole area you want to change.

Then when you do that make sure the untitled layer is selected and click the little rectangle with the little white circle inside it...*it says Add Layer Mask when you hover over it*

After you do that hover over where it says normal and choose soft light selection {and then you can change the opacity to whatever you like}. Then make sure the color black is selected for your brush and brush over the areas where you don't need the white color.

Here's the after...

I also did the same thing with her shirt but with a "minty-er" color {that was the original color of her shirt} and with the grass behind them....I made it more greenish looking with the same technique.

Here's the complete before and after {I also fixed her wild hair. lol} oh and I also added a creamy color over their faces .

Before and after without any actions.

So basically when you select the add layer mask you can delete any part of the action/layer you want and add it back with the white brush. You have the M4H Merge All action right? Just choose that and then you can add a layer mask with it and "erase" any part of that too.

You can pretty much be super creative after you get the hang of it. I made this "layer" with the brush...

And used to for this...

Kind dramatic....but you get the gist. ;)

Hiking in the heat....not so fun!

This summer we decided to give the backpack carrier a test and go for a little hike. It ended up being WAY too hot and there was next to no shade along the trail to rest so we cut it short. I did get some neat pictures during our short adventure though.

I can spell!!

One day Nautika came running out of her room screaming with excitment, "I SPELLED DAD!".
I followed her back into her room and she so very proudly pointed to this:

Congrats To The Happy Couple

On September 4, 2009 Carisa Mae and Jerred Erickson tied the knot! It was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL wedding. Nautika and Aaliyah were the flower girls and, in my opinion, the most beautiful flower girls I've ever seen!

Congrats Mae and Jerred, you two make an awesome pair and hope for many, many years of happiness...

Elesia Janis Kiser

Meet my new baby niece, Elesia Janis. She was born on August 12, 2009 @ 3:05 a.m. She weighed 7lbs. 7oz. & 19.5 inches long. I took these pictures when she was 8 days old.

The Sang Gang

This summer was the 2nd Annual Sanger Family Reunion. It was at my Uncle Tim & Aunt Tina's beach place and let me tell you, this place is awesome!! It's right along the Pend Oreille River and they have their private dock, fire pit, a horseshoe pit right along the water and plenty of room for the kiddos to run around. The first morning, Uncle Tim, took us for a boat ride. Nautika, McKenna and McKayla had a blast. The little dare devil, Nautika, kept telling Tim, "faster, faster!". After the boat ride the horseshoe tourney started, we drew for partners and ended up with eight teams. Standard rules expect for one; if somebody threw a double ringer both people of the opposite team had to shotgun a beer! Well, there were a few double ringers thrown but I am under strict orders to never post the pictures! (Good thing I'm a good niece...hehe). The 2009 Sanger Family Reunion Horseshoe Tournament Champions are Uncle Steve and Aunt Beth! A few volleyball games were played after the tournament until Peyton got hit in the face with the ball (by her Dad). At night we gathered around the fire and told our worst injuries (Ben always has the best stories), most euphoric moments of our life, favorite movie and anything else we could think of that would make good stories! It was a fun weekend had by all and filled with lots of laughter and good memories.

Nautika would've sat in this spot all day if she could have.

All geared up for the boat ride.

I thougt this tree house was pretty cool. You can't really tell from the pictures but it has 3 stories!
