Yard Sale.....bitter/sweet

Well this weekend I'm having a yard sale. I'm sure this will not be the last one I'll have either. It's kind of sad getting rid of all your baby clothes. (Of course I kept the clothes that were just too cute to sell). I just can't believe how fast my baby girl is growing up and I know it will just get faster and faster as you get older. Before your Dad and I know it, you will be going out on dates (if your Dad doesn't scare away the boys first), hanging out with your friends, going to school dances, and begging to stay out "just a little longer".

A year and a half gone by...

Well I regret not doing this sooner, but I guess you have to start somewhere.

You were born November 9, 2006 @ 5:32 p.m. (one day before your Grandpa's birthday). You weighed 7lbs. 2oz. and was 20 in. long. You were seriously the most beautiful baby girl I've ever seen!! But of course I would say that. :-) You were a very, very easy baby. You would sleep for 12 hours at a time, only getting up once to have your diaper changed and a bottle. You hardly ever cried and when you did you could hear it from a mile away. You were a Daddy's Girl from the start. I have a picture of your Daddy holding you for the first time and you can just see the love in both of your eyes.

Once you turned 1, you learned you were the BOSS of the house. You can be so sassy and aunry, but yet so sweet and loving all at the same time. You definately know what you want and want it NOW!!! One of your first words were, "don't". You love being outdoors and playing in the dirt or a puddle of water. You can entertain yourself for hours doing absolutely nothing. You absolutely love to read books and color. You have been able to hold a pen correctly since you were about 9 months old. I think you are going to be my little artist.

You are definately like her Dad in being a little dare devil. It's like you have absolutely no fear at all. You will climb and stand on anything...and I mean anything. As long as you can pull yourself up, you're on it.

Your vocabulary is a mile long. You will sit there and have conversations with yourself, pretending to talk on your "phone" (which is really a remote). :-) You can count to 3 and point to all your body parts. You are just so smart, too smart for your own good sometimes.

I don't know what I would do with out you, Little Miss Nautika. You're definately the light of my life and you make each and every day worth it. I love you!!
